Professional Background ...

Amarillo Child & Family Counseling first opened in April, 2000, and moved into its own building at 2109 West 7th Ave. in Amarillo in March, 2003.

Martin Sauer is  licensed as a professional counselor by the Texas Department of Health (License No. 14727). He has over 16 years of professional experience treating children, adults and families.  Martin obtained his BA in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. He has worked in mental health centers in Nebraska, Colorado and Texas and was employed for three and a half years as an associate psychologist with TPMHMR's Children's Services division in and as a contract therapist for Family Support Services in Amarillo, Texas.
